Vegan Ribs Recipe
Total Time: 55 Minutes | Prep Time: 15 Minutes | Cook Time: 40 Minutes | Servings: 8
Ingredients
1 cup of vital wheat gluten
1 tbsp of paprika
1 tsp of onion powder
1 tsp of chili powder
1/2 tsp of liquid smoke
1 cup of vegetable broth
28 oz of canned jackfruit
Optional:
Vegan bbq sauce
Directions
1. Preheat oven to 400 F.
2. Add jackfruit to a small bowl and crush to create a “pulled” texture.
3. In a large bowl, combine vital wheat gluten, paprika, onion powder, liquid smoke, vegetable broth and jackfruit. Mix well.
4. Add to a baking sheet and form a rectangle. Bake for 45 minutes.
5. Remove from oven and let cool. Top with your favorite vegan bbq sauce and cut horizontally to create rib shape.
6. Serve and enjoy!
